Targeted research, shared innovation

The fundamental elements of IRIS LAB’s dynamic identity include collaboration with corporate research centres, universities and specialised networks, with which it develops synergies and exchanges knowledge. This true network of relationships aims to constantly implement and detail common project ideas, skills and research paths.

ELMO R&D Consortium

IRIS LAB signed a collaboration agreement with the ELMO University Consortium for research and development projects on industrial electric drives. ELMO is a national inter-university consortium involving research groups from 15 universities. It is the national academic community of reference for electric mobility. The collaboration between IRIS LAB and the ELMO Consortium fits perfectly into the aims and purposes of the consortium itself: to promote the synergic use of knowledge, skills and resources aimed at fostering technology transfer, in line with planning and control processes in the field of sustainable mobility.

EUROPEAN PhD School on Power Electronics ed Energy System

IRIS LAB is a member of the European PhD School on Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, Energy Control and Power Systems. Today, the PhD School constitutes one of the most important European power electronics networks for industrial applications. It was founded in 2003 following the initiative of leading power electronics brands, as an industry-led research network to promote education, innovation, science, research and technology transfer in its field in Europe. It currently has more than 230 members committed to the objectives of pre-competitive studies, advanced education and training, and the public relations process for power electronics in Europe. Scientific education and dissemination

The research centre also aims to play an active role in training young researchers and technical specialists in the field of power electronics and digital industrial electrical drives. This commitment will be implemented through doctoral programmes, internships, training courses and workshops.

In addition, the centre will work on disseminating research results through scientific publications, conferences and participation in industry events.
