IRIS LAB at the Intellimech Consortium Conference

On June 18, 2026, IRIS LAB participated in the Intellimech Consortium conference, hosted by Itema Group, contributing to the discussion on the latest developments in power electronics and industrial electric drives.

During the event, Prof. Giuseppe Tomasso, Scientific Director of the Industrial Automation Laboratory at the University of Cassino and Scientific Coordinator of IRIS LAB, delivered the presentation “Innovative Technologies for Power Converters and Industrial Electric Drives“, focusing on the role of wide band gap (SiC and GaN) technologies in the development of high-performance power converters for industrial applications.

The presentation explored the opportunities offered by next-generation power conversion architectures in terms of energy efficiency, power density, reliability, and industrial competitiveness, highlighting the value of an integrated approach that combines research, engineering, and technology transfer for industry.

The event provided an important opportunity for dialogue between academia and industry, fostering the exchange of expertise and perspectives on the technologies that will shape the future of industrial machinery and power electronics systems.
